Our Story
Decades of Audit Expertise with a Personal Touch
SAS Assurance was founded by Scott and Laura Stinard. Together, they bring decades of accounting and audit experience across a wide range of industries. Over the past 20 years, they have worked with organizations in real estate, nonprofit, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, construction, and employee benefit plans.

Scott and Laura built SAS Assurance on the belief that high-quality assurance services should be clear, reliable, and affordable. Their firm operates on a fixed-fee model, so clients know exactly what to expect with no surprises. They are proud members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Program and follow rigorous internal quality control standards, including an independent third-party review of every report.

Based in Apopka, Florida, Scott and Laura are also raising their three children in the community they’ve called home for over two decades. Their commitment to family values shapes how they approach client relationships — with honesty, trust, and care.
Meet the Team
Scott Stinard
Founder & Managing Partner
Scott has over 20 years of public accounting experience, with deep expertise in audits across various industries, including real estate, nonprofit, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, construction, and employee benefit plans. He has completed over 250 employee benefit plan audits and is a Florida-licensed CPA holding a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation.
Laura Stinard
Co-Founder
Laura began her career in public accounting as an auditor before moving into the private sector. She has worked in professional services and hospitality industries, specializing in HOA and real estate accounting. With over 15 years of experience leading accounting teams, Laura brings both technical knowledge and strong leadership to SAS Assurance.
What Does SAS Stand For?
My 11-year-old daughter asks...as I prepare my long-winded response about quality work and competitive pricing...she interrupts me, "No dad...what does the "SAS" stand for?"

I reset and say well....it stands for a few things:

Stinard and Stinard as it is a Company started by two Stinards OR it could stand for my initials - Scott Allen Stinard OR it could simply stand for Stinard Assurance Services. She liked the first one the best.
